“I live life to its fullest these days,” says singer-songwriter Anna Hardy. On her debut EP, the Missoula, Montana-based artist writes about small town trials and tribulations with swagger and sensitivity. “I’ve lost a lot in the past couple of years...” she acknowledges. Anna grew up soaking up classic rock music and culture—her grandparents proudly displayed vibey 1970s artifacts all around their house. Anna is deeply inspired by George Harrison, Cream, The Who, and The Mamas & the Papas. This spirit of the 60's and 70's also informs her retro-fab fashion sensibility; she feels at home in floral print shirts and flared jeans. Despite an affinity for counter-culture style and soul, Anna also embraces modern pop and rock, citing artists such as Donna Missal, Harry Styles, and Biffy Clyro as current inspirations. This inaugural EP frames a promising new talent making sense of profound life changes. Finding refuge in songwriting and the recording has been healing and clarifying for Anna, helping her solidify her way as an artist, and as a person. “These tracks have enabled me to build confidence, and they have taught me to have the courage to be honest,” Anna shares.
